A few notes to help you with Saturday’s NDCXL event in Markeaton Park promoted by Derby Mercury RC:
Venue
The venue post code is DE22 4AA, with plenty of brown road signs for Markeaton Park.
Roadworks on the Markeaton island
Roadworks
Please note that there are roadworks on the Markeaton island (A52A38 intersection) – allow extra time for your journey.
Pitch & putt area
Please ensure that youngsters do not stray onto to pitch and putt course adjacent to the race course.
Parking
Markeaton Park is has a pay and display car park – you will need:
- £1.50 for 2 hours

- £2.80 for up to 4 hours

- £3.70 for over 4 hours

For those of you with larger vehicles or bikes on the roof … the height barriers WILL NOT be open – an alternative, marshalled route will be available – please use caution!.
Cycle Derby youngsters races
Cycle Derby are once again offering their popular races – details.
Licence
Please bring your race licence, even if you pre-entered. If you cannot show your licence at signing on be prepared to buy a day licence.
Numbers
New for the 2014-15 season – each rider will be issued with disposable back and arm numbers. The (rider) numbers order of the races has changed, from U9 being 1-100, U12 101-200 etc up through the categories, to 1-100 for V40, 101-200 V50, and so on through the other categories – to try to make life easier for the manual recording team.
Please dispose of your number carefully – carelessly discarded numbers may result in disqualification. BRING SAFETY PINS.
