The NDCXL season is almost over and we have just a few days until Chilwell. The event is brought to you by Fossa Racing in association with Full Speed Events and Ashfield RC. Whilst many of the categories are already decided for the overall winner, there are many battles still unfinished and friendly rivalry remains all the way through the field.
The course will be similar to last year, with the usual mix of grass, woodland and tarmac, with the hillside adding to the challenge. The majority of the course is visible from the event arena so it’s great for spectating. The ground conditions are damp and it may cut up in places, we might even have some mud! The course includes several tricky sections that are only rideable in ideal conditions and the Chilwell Kicker – a small but decisive bank in the middle of a dead turn corner that needs confidence to ride well. Depending on the conditions on the day the Kicker may be included in the U12 course, but everyone will have the joy of ascending the hill many times before the end of their race.
