East Midlands Cyclo-cross Association
Rationale
To support U18 riders in the EMCCA area who wish to aid their development by racing abroad.
Budget
£1200 per season. Proposed maximum of £200 per rider per trip, funded in two waves. One with a deadline of 31st of August for events up the end of November, the second with a deadline of 30th Nov for events in December, January and February. Funding will be released after race completion and submission of a report.
Criteria
Riders should apply to the EMCCA committee indicating which event(s) they intend to ride, and why. They should state what they hope to achieve from the experience and how it will help them to develop as a rider. Upon return they should submit a race report both to the EMCCA and to the wider cyclocross community via social media – web forums, Twitter, Facebook etc. It is to be hoped and encouraged that ridersparents will pool resources and travel together where possible in order both to save their costs and to increase the value of the EMCCA spending. Riders are also encouraged to apply to the British Cyclo-Cross Trust for further funding.
The EMCCA will look at each application on merit and decide appropriately, with feedback going to unsuccessful applicants.
