Round 2 – Belper BC at Alfreton Park preview

On Saturday 17th September, Belper BC will be hosting their 9th edition of the World renowned Alfreton Park CX event, which is round two of the Notts & Derby Cyclo-Cross League.

There will be a few enforced changes for 2016 though – unfortunately the cricket pavilion won’t be available to us this year so we will be returning to old skool al fresco signing on and portaloos.

Derbyshire County Council have also contacted the organiser to advise that they will be laying a new water main in the week prior to our event so a rather large trench will be dug along the length of the main field. This will obviously affect course design so please be aware that the course may be compromised to ensure rider safety.
Update: Good news – we have been informed that the ground works have been postponed until after the event!

Parking is always tight at Alfreton so please be considerate and on no account should there be any parking at the Alfreton Park Community Special School. A car park attendant will be in place on the day.

Finally, and most importantly, there will be NO on the day entry for any categories except U9 and U12 – please do not ask there will be NO exceptions so get your entries in on the British Cycling website now if you plan to race!

Hope you all have a good day, race safe.
